Billabong Bar

This bar is great and very cheap during the day time (happy hour beer 50 baht). During the night time it’s not good because it’s full of drunk, aggressive scammer ladies who refuse to give you your change back when you pay the bill. They also speak rude things about you right infront of you in thai language to eachother. I recommend visiting during day time and avoid at night time.

Walked into Billabong Bar thinking I’d get a cold beer and some live music. Turns out the only thing colder than the beer was the staff’s attitude. And the beer wasn’t even cold.
Ordered a drink, got a bill that looked like it had been written by a magician, things appeared on it that I definitely didn’t order. When I pointed it out, instead of fixing it, the staff acted like I was auditioning for a street fight. One lady swore at me like I’d just kicked her karaoke machine.
At one point there were so many staff hovering around me I thought they were about to start a conga line. Sadly, no music, just insults.
Highlight of the night? Realizing I could have had the exact same experience at home: warm beer, loud yelling, and people taking my money. Would’ve saved the taxi fare.
Pro tip: if you go, bring a calculator, a referee, and maybe a helmet.
