99 Bar Khonkaen

Good bar in Konkaen, if you like music then must visit this place. Very near to the Pullman hotel. Konkaen is a very good and safe city with very good people.

Sensible pricing for menu - good tasty food as well.
Large outdoor restaurant with giant screen and live band area (for a change the music level was just right - most Thai places like ear splitting noise levels.)
Large indoor nightclub, that on a Monday evening was seriously crowded.
Service was fast and efficient - and even with a genuine smile and banter.
A place that all visiting Khon Kaen must visit.
The only criticism I can mention is that they do not serve coffee.

There is an entrance fee. When I walked into the door, no one was there to greet me or help me find a spot. After finding a spot, someone came over and impatiently wanted my order (even though it was not that busy). The menus are very, very small. I had to take a picture to translate the menu but even if I spoke Thai, I still would have had to take a picture to zoom in to read.

Bottle came a few minutes later but did not come with ice tongs, so I had to wait 5 minutes to get that. Server left right away and I realized the coke bottles are not twist, so I had to wait another 5 minutes for him to open the coke bottles.

I didn't see this issue with anyone else. Everyone had ice tongs (including people who came in after me). Servers opened bottles for people. I was polite, happy, and gave a tip.

I guess if you're white, expect to be ignored and not helped. Very different experience from Bangkok. Every bar/club in Bangkok knows how to give proper service so you keep coming back.

Definitely not worth the money I spent.

Great club but they give you huge portions of ice cubes. For 100 TBH you get a basket full for you, your family and unborns, i swar so much ice you never cant use, ask for takeaway ;-)
