Walked Soi 6 last night and remembered why this place is a different planet normal people would faint. Got there around 9pm, girls already out front calling, small bars with rooms up the stairs, music loud, smell of cheap beer and lotion in the air. Sat at one place, chatted, ended up moving to a tiny room above quick short time vibe, nothing fancy but weirdly efficient; saw a guy argue with a girl about an extra fee and the bar boss stepped in like it was daily business.
By midnight the street filled with drunk Europeans and a couple of Russians pushing hard, one lao fan singing badly, another guy trying to bargain a long clock like it was a market stall hilarious and a little gross. Saw a lame goldfish-table show in one bar, then a proper 泰國浴-style soapy place two soi away that looked like a different scene, walked back along Beach Road and freelancers were already strolling slow. It's cheap, bold, and rough around edges 老司機 will love it, new drivers might get a shock, I sure did again... didn't sleep much after, lol.
