To the guys thinking about hitting up Bangla Road, just be careful, man. I went there last night, and got totally ripped off at this beer bar. The prices were through the roof, and I didn't even notice until the bill came—like, they were charging me for lady drinks that I didn't even order while my head was spinning from the live music.

I started at one bar, ended up at another when a working girl approached me and promised a good time. By the time I realized I should've just hit a local spot, it was too late. The bar fine was way steeper than what I've paid elsewhere, and that's saying something for Phuket! Just know that not everything is worth the price, especially on Bangla.
