Is Chiang Mai Nightlife Smaller Than You Think?

So, I hit up Chiang Mai for my usual fix of nightlife and honestly, it was heaps smaller than I expected. Just Loi Kroh Road really has the bars and a couple of massage spots. Got there around 9pm, and by 11, I’d seen most of it.

I ended up crashing at one of the gogo bars, but it didn’t vibe like Pattaya at all. More laid-back, more intimate, almost felt like a girlfriend experience. Just a heads up, don’t expect a massive scene; it’s pretty chill, which can be good if you're after something less crazy.

Chiang Mai's nightlife is definitely a different scene! I remember hitting up Loi Kroh and feeling that same laid-back vibe. I snagged a couple of lady drinks at a bar that led to a nice chat with one of the girls · it was way more personal than the craziness in Pattaya. The short time rooms were decent too, around 1,000 baht if I recall right. Not a place for a wild night, but perfect if you want something low-key.

Genuinely, I think Chiang Mai has a charm of its own. I went to AA Massage last time and it was solid for a chill vibe. If you're after a relaxed experience, it can really hit the spot, though it's not gonna match Pattaya's intensity.
