Went to Karon yesterday morning looking for a soapy massage because Bangla is too crowded and expensive for me. Start at the beach, then take the small street up to the left of the 7-11, there was a low-key massage parlor with cold AC, quiet music, fair service, no ping pong show, more discreet and relaxed, the girls weren't pushing bar fine or freelancer talk, calmer than Patong.

Small warning though, a guy almost upsold me on an expensive "full service" option, sort it out before going in, rooms on the right side have a better shower, bring cash in small notes or it gets messy. Fewer options in Kata/Rawai, I'll try those next time, but Karon was not bad, more relaxed than Bangla if you're just looking for a massage with extras.
