Just got back to the hotel after a night on Soi 6, thoughts are messy but sharing briefly.
Got there around 10pm, started with a couple of bars at the entrance, girls right out on the street, loud music, smell of cheap beer and cigarettes. By midnight I was in a bar with rooms, short time really was quick, couple of times saw bar fine turn into long time negotiations right at the counter. One scene with a freelancer by the fishbowl stuck with me, the girl left with a Russian guy to a tiny motel, like something out of a movie, but less romantic, more of a deal.
Couple of notes for newcomers: bars here are direct, lady drink and negotiation come without ceremony. Soapy massage places on the next street aggressively push full service, nuru and body massage were rare, but in one case a girl tried to gain trust and then asked for more money afterwards. Be careful with promises. Soi 6 is for people who know the rules, regular tourists might be shocked. I am used to it by now, but there is always some funny or awkward story... ㅋㅋ
