Walk around Loi Kroh, Night Bazaar area, or Old City and there are massage shops everywhere, hard to choose. But honestly if you are aiming for a happy ending, the hit rate is low. Went around the Old City lanes past 10pm, the first place I walked into had good vibes, smooth flow from body wash to B2B massage, but another shop had dim lighting and sloppy service so I just walked out.
The trick is watching the staff reaction. If they are friendly and quote a normal price it is more likely a freelancer setup; avoid shops that seem cold or uninterested. Girls calling out on the street tend to ask for extra fees or bar fine, so peeking into the smaller parlors on the Night Bazaar side first and then deciding helps cut unnecessary spending. Compared to Pattaya nightlife talk, Chiang Mai is warmer in atmosphere and more relaxed, but that comes down to personal taste.
