So update on my situation, when I came to Bangkok at night, Chiang Mai's Old City nightlife felt completely like a different country.

Around 10 PM, I walked towards Loikroh expecting a Khao San vibe, but after passing a 7-11 and entering an alley, the lights were dim and the music was soft.
