The gay scene runs out of Silom, and it splits cleanly by alley. Soi 4 is the bar street — Balcony, The Stranger (nightly drag), Telephone Pub — open-air tables built for people-watching and pre-party drinks. Soi 2 is the club street, anchored by the legendary DJ Station and G Bangkok. The money-boy go-go and show bars sit on Patpong Soi 2, where they moved after Soi Twilight closed.
The bars and clubs run like normal nightlife — Soi 4 is cheap and chill, Soi 2 a notch pricier (beer around 120฿), and shower/go-go show bars charge an entry (roughly 600฿ with a couple of drinks). Money boys work all the sois and are upfront about it; buying a drink is expected, and private time is negotiated directly at a price you set before anything's agreed.
The night has a rhythm: Soi 4 from early evening (bars open around 17:00, best 21:00~24:00), then everyone crosses to Soi 2 for the clubs — DJ Station's drag show lands about 23:00 and the floor goes until 03:00 or later. Clubs want closed shoes, no flip-flops. Sala Daeng BTS / Silom MRT drop you right there. The 21 venues below are live-ranked by 7-day visitor traffic and recent reviews.
