Just Loi Kroh, Chiang Mai's nightlife is quite small

I didn't expect Chiang Mai's nightlife to be super small, mostly focused on Loi Kroh Road; start walking from the Night Bazaar, turn left after 7‑11, there are a few gogo bars and KTVs lined up until midnight. I arrived there at 11pm, 2 reasonable KTV places, one near an alley with stairs on the left to the second floor (private room), strong AC, chill music not club noise. Night transport: grab is easy until morning, drivers understand when you say "Loi Kroh", ATM area at Night Bazaar is safe, to get a SIM refill ask for top-up at 7‑11 to keep it convenient. Tip: if you're looking for traditional or erotic massages, there are plenty in the Old City don't expect it to be like Pattaya, it's chill and more intimate, bar fines and short time prices are fair, freelancers are available but don't expect too much...
