If you want to walk around everywhere at night, a hotel near Walking Street is convenient. Arriving after 10 PM, you can stroll from WS to LK Metro to Beach Road, easily accessing gogo bars, massage parlors, and streets with freelancers, minimizing travel stress. It's also easy to catch a Grab or find a taxi when returning late at night.
Last time, I stayed near Soi 6, which was convenient during the day, but I was exhausted and nearly sank at night. If you're looking for short time, staying near WS is ideal, while if you prioritize cost performance, staying closer to Soi Buakhao with a mix of walking and short taxi rides is realistic. The rooms may not be close to the station, but if nightlife is your priority, the WS side is safe, and the small path on the left side of the stairs is easy to remember.
