I'm staying in Chiang Mai for a month and getting tired of the tourist bars on Nimman and Loi Kroh. Where do actual Thai locals go to party? I've heard there are big nightclubs near the superhighway that are packed on weekends but foreigner-unfriendly. Is that true or can I show up? Not looking for the red light scene genuinely want to experience how Thai people do a night out.
