Chiang Mai HE massage is MORE expensive than Bangkok??

This caught me off guard. Went to a couple of happy ending massage places around Nimman area and the prices were 900-1,000 baht base just for a basic HJ. In Bangkok I've paid 700-800 for similar service. I always assumed Chiang Mai would be cheaper because it's a smaller city. Am I going to the wrong places or is this actually the going rate here?

Yeah Chiang Mai HE prices are actually higher than Bangkok counterintuitive but fewer specialized shops here means less competition. AA Massage is one of the more consistent places clean, professional, fixed menu. Not the cheapest but you know what you're getting.
