Phuket's ladyboy (katoey) scene runs on two tracks. On Bangla Road, several bars feature ladyboy performers (usually clearly signed), and after about 2am freelancer ladyboys work the strip directly — mostly harmless but persistent, and a firm "no" does the job. Separately, Simon Cabaret in Patong is the famous all-ages ladyboy stage show, not a red-light venue.
