Pattaya's gay scene is one of Asia's liveliest, split across four zones. Jomtien Complex (aka Supertown) is now the biggest — 30+ gay bars, cabarets and massage shops under a covered street. Boyztown (Pattayaland Soi 3) is the classic go-go and drag hub; Sunee Plaza is the seedier, cheaper host-and-go-go cluster; and Dongtan Beach in Jomtien is the gay beach by day.
Bars and clubs run as normal nightlife, but the host/go-go bars work on "boys" — buying a drink is expected, and private time is negotiated directly at a price you set. Sunee runs cheap (500~1,500฿ for a full evening) and rawer; Boyztown and Jomtien are pricier and more polished. One firm rule: some boys look young — check ID, since Thailand's under-18 laws are strict.
