The for-women side of Bangkok is real but niche — and it's built for women as the paying customer, not as an afterthought. The core is the host club / host bar (Japanese-style): a "papa" walks handsome hosts to your table, you pick one to sit with, and the night runs on drinks, games, and attention. Names like Asgard and NK Club are local favorites — barely any tourists, often a language barrier.
The model mirrors the men's bars, flipped. A host sitting with you carries a fee (Asgard runs around 4,800฿), then drinks on top. There's also a small circuit of women-only hostess lounges — 18 Plus One near Sukhumvit 11, most others in Ratchada and Silom — that run a barfine of about 1,500฿ to take a host out; men aren't allowed in as customers. Mainstream clubs add male-dancer nights too (Q Bar's Magic Mike on Thursdays, Levels' Six-Pack on Fridays).
Host clubs start late — usually from 23:00 into the early hours — and most are tucked away, so a Grab and the address help. The crowd skews local, plus the occasional visitor from Japan, Korea, or Singapore. It's a smaller scene than the men's circuit, but the service and the novelty are the draw.
